How to act around your crush; Dos and Don'ts (Girl edition)

From the start of relationships, girls make certain mistakes that lead to problems or that end the relationship. Some girls don't know how to act around a guy that they like and tend to seem desperate, so here are 2 ways to act around your crush with some dos and don'ts.  Be reminded that every guy is different, these methods might not work for a specific guy you like although, keeping these suggestions in mind can be helpful.

Through social media: Social media is our generation’s way of communicating with new people. It’s shown that 1 out 3 relationships start with the internet, but having conversations through text messages or facebook chats can be very difficult. You don't always know the other person very well and so you don’t know their emotions. However not being face-to-face can be easier for shy people. Girls need to realize that guys have a certain way to text. For example if he replies with sarcasm, or with the use of emoticons, and so on, you must not respond with a desperate answer.  

Don’t:

• Text him everyday
• 5 times a day
• 10 times in a row
• with hearts for emojis

...This will obviously make you look desperate.

        

Do:

• Play hard to get
• Take your time to answer his texts
• If ever he dips the conversation, act cool. DON’T text him asking where he went or text him more than 3 times in a row.
• Flirt but not too much to stay mysterious

...This will help, depending on the guy.

In public and school: Speaking to your crush on facebook or by text is a lot easier than in person. It might come easier for you to flirt with them by text than in person and you might feel awkward or he might feel awkward. Take the time to talk to your crush, guys prefer speaking with a girl in person than through text. When talking in person, try to be comfortable don't be awkward or trying to be cute by acting dumb, most of the guys can tell when a girl is faking it. Try and see what are common things that you and your crush share, this will make the conversation flow easier and will come naturally.

         

Don’t:

• Start screaming his name from the distance and waving your arms like crazy to catch his attention
• Stare/gaze at him, no matter how hot he is
• Play with your hair like its gonna somehow curl around your finger
• Laugh really loudly with your friends to get his attention
• Ignore him and go the other way

...This will make you look straight up weird and a bit typical.

Do:

• Act yourself
• Try your best to keep the conversation going
• Keep eye contact
• If you're confident enough, get your flirt on

...This will make him want to get to know you better.
